Marilyn Davis
Director
Marilyn has been with the Day School for over 40 years and brings a wealth of knowledge gained from a lifetime of caring for the children of our community. Three of her grandchildren were able to attend the Day School from age three through Kindergarten.
Leslie Borski
Kindergarten Teacher
Leslie graduated from Texas A&M with a B.S. in Education, specializing in Math as well as Early Childhood Education. She is in the process of learning more Spanish, with the help of our bilingual teachers! She has been teaching kindergarten at the school since 1990. She especially enjoys incorporating music in the classroom. All three of her children attended kindergarten at the school and she is happy that two of her grandchildren, who live here locally, were also able to attend.
Leslie lives in Bryan with her husband and enjoys family time, friends, traveling, reading, music, art, and learning languages.
Yuly Decker
Assistant 3’s and 4’s Teacher
Yuly was born in Mexico and speaks both English and Spanish fluently. She has worked in various childcare positions since 2005. In 2013, she relocated to College Station from San Antonio with her husband and two children. She joined the Day School staff in 2014. She works as assistant teacher in the 3 year old class and is the lead teacher for Extended Care.
Dara Hennings
Assistant Kindergarten Teacher
Dara graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Horticulture. She raised her three children in College Station with her husband Brian. All three of her children attended the Day School from 3’s class through Kindergarten, and all three are now graduates of TAMU. Dara loves to travel, bake, read, and propagate plants.
Shannon Scarmardo
Assistant Kindergarten Teacher
Shannon graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Elementary Education with a Reading Specialization. She raised her five children in Bryan with her husband, Mark. She has four grandchildren, the oldest having attended the Day School through kindergarten. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Shannon joined the Day School staff as a Kindergarten Assistant in 2008.
Erika Garcia
Assistant Teacher
Erika Garcia was born in Mexico and is fluent in both Spanish and English. When she is not at school, she enjoys baking and traveling. She joined the Day School staff as the four year old assistant teacher in 2023. She especially enjoys helping the students find their artistic side and is the main Assistant teacher for extended care.
Emma Johnson
3 Year Old Teacher
Emma Johnson is a follower of Christ, currently working towards her Art degree, and is thrilled to share her love of creating with her young students. One of seven children, she enjoys playing many instruments including guitar and violin. She has traveled the world, loves to cook, garden, and has 40+ chickens!
